Paragliding is truly wonderful and fulfilling experience in this Himalayan country. You can experience unparalleled scenic magnificence mountain view, Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, kites, while floating over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungles, with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas.

The main area for flying by paragliding in Nepal is the Annapurna region, more specifically the Pokhara valley. This lakeside town is Nepal’s second “city”, nestled at the foot of the Annapurna Mountain. The paragliding flying season in Nepal commences from November through February, the best months being November and December. The take -off point for these paragliding flights are Sarangkot (altitude 1592m.) which also offers prime views of Phewa Lake and mountains at sunrise and sunset and the landing is by the Phewa lake. No previous experience is required as qualified pilots provide a short briefing before launching paragliding trip.

There are several flights operating each day and have different flight details.

Acrobatic Flying (10-20 minute’s flight): The Paragliding which flies for 10 to 20 minutes is called Acrobatic flight.

Cloud buster (20-30 Minute’s flight):  This  midday flight gives you the thrill of high flight as we thermal up above Sarangkot in the company of eagles and vultures. It takes from 20 minutes to 30 minutes.

Cross Country (45-60 minute’s flight):  About an hour flight allows you to get a taste of the exploration side of flying. Each day provides slightly different conditions, and even throughout the day it is changing, so routes change accordingly. There is the possibility of soaring along the long ridge leading down the valley past Fewa Lake, with the Annapurna range to your right. Other days we cross the valley and soar directly at these stunning 6,000 m + peaks. We will return and land near the lake where a jeep will be waiting to take us back to our office in Lakeside.
